“Once again bowled over by the quality and imagination of your work. Love it.”
Callum Robinson, Director at Method Studio

Towards the end of 2017 we were asked by our friends at Method Studio to make a film to celebrate the launch of a very special, very limited run of 60 bottles of Loch Lomond 50 year old malt whisky. Method Studio were producing a beautiful handcrafted case to accompany each of the bottles at their workshops in Beecraigs.

The creative boards (left) which we developed for pitching this filming project looked to encapsulate the elements of fire, water and earth and took inspiration from the natural landscape to create this very unique type of whisky film.  Capturing texture, light and detailed closeups brings the film to life with an essence of magic that the whisky deserves.

The limited run of whisky sold out in less than a week following its release in December 2017.

The Loch Lomond film brought together four weeks of filming at their distillery on the banks of Loch Lomond, shots from the Method Studio workshops detailing the case manufacturing process and footage of the beautiful Scottish landscapes around the distillery and workshop.

The final scene of the film includes a stop motion sequence to showcase the beautiful handcrafted case opening to reveal the whisky inside. This end sequence was shot at the Method Studio workshop and was created using more than 160 4K still images taken on a starry night in Beecraigs Forest.
